Modern Slavery Statement

Man with Van West Heath Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the principles and actions taken by Man with Van West Heath to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implement effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery has no place in our organisation.

Scope and Commitment

This statement applies to all activities undertaken by Man with Van West Heath, including our core man and van services, related logistics, and any contracted or subcontracted work. It covers all personnel who work on our behalf, including direct employees, agency staff, contractors, and suppliers. We are committed to continuous improvement in identifying and addressing risks related to modern slavery.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van West Heath has a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, bonded labour, child labour, servitude, and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any individual or organisation that is involved in, or benefits from, such practices.

Our zero-tolerance stance is embedded in our internal policies, codes of conduct, and supplier requirements. Any confirmed breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action for employees, up to and including termination of employment, and the immediate review or termination of contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, or business partners.

Supply Chain Standards and Supplier Audits

Our supply chain includes providers of transport, fuel, vehicle maintenance, equipment, packaging materials, storage, and labour services. We expect all suppliers and contractors to uphold the same standards that we observe in our own operations.

To support this, we set clear expectations that suppliers must operate in compliance with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws. We communicate that any involvement in modern slavery is unacceptable and incompatible with continuing a business relationship with Man with Van West Heath.

We conduct risk-based supplier assessments and audits to verify alignment with our anti-slavery expectations. These may include requesting documented evidence of labour practices, carrying out on-site visits where appropriate, and engaging directly with management and, where feasible, workers. Where risks or issues are identified, we work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to remedy breaches in a timely and satisfactory manner, we reserve the right to suspend or end the relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels

We encourage a culture of openness, where concerns about modern slavery or other unethical practices can be raised without fear of retaliation. Workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains.

Concerns may be reported verbally or in writing to line managers, senior management, or through established internal reporting mechanisms. Reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and impartially. We are committed to protecting anyone who raises a concern in good faith from detrimental treatment or victimisation.

Where appropriate, we will cooperate fully with relevant authorities and take decisive action, which may include terminating relationships with implicated parties and supporting any remediation steps for affected individuals, in line with our resources and legal obligations.

Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities

Managers and staff involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management are made aware of modern slavery indicators and our reporting expectations. Responsibilities for monitoring and enforcing this statement sit with senior management, who ensure that modern slavery considerations are integrated into our decision-making, due diligence, and risk management processes.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

We recognise that the risks associated with modern slavery can change over time. Man with Van West Heath therefore commits to reviewing this Modern Slavery Statement annually and updating it as necessary to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, and best practice guidance.

The annual review will consider the effectiveness of our policies, supplier audits, training, and reporting channels. Where we identify gaps or opportunities for improvement, we will take appropriate steps to strengthen our approach. This may include enhancing due diligence, adjusting contractual requirements, expanding training, or improving how we communicate our expectations to workers and suppliers.

This statement has been approved by the leadership of Man with Van West Heath and represents our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business.
